Thornes Farm - Testimonials

Stunning and Elegant - WOW
By A TripAdvisor Member - 14 Sep 2009

This is without a doubt the BEST B&B I have ever stayed in. The house is a huge farm house that is now more like a luxury hotel. We had a beautiful and large twin room and private bathroom (there are 2 other double rooms). Everything in the house is geared towards quality and luxury. Janet is a wonderful and welcoming hostess and nothing is too much trouble. The bed was the most comfortable that I've ever slept in.

The breakfast was amazing. Freshly prepared fruit for myself and the "Best Full English EVER" for my friend. Home made biscuits and jams are to die for!

We are trying to find an excuse to return. Just go there!!!

Thornes Farm Bed and Breakfast

Thornes Farm offers a relaxing and comfortable stay, with excellent service and attention to detail. The farm house is lovingly furnished to create a convivial atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Not only a bed and breakfast but a stylish, private country residence.

An excellent B&B, spotless, great service, homemade jams etc

This is a new B&B, since January 2009, but already has 5 stars and a silver accolade from the tourist board. We stayed one night and had three rooms. A very large eu suite double with TV, tea and coffee, home made biscuits, a great brass bed and lovely linen. Our children had two other rooms both very comfotable and shared an immaculate bathroom.

The welcome was great with tea and coffee in the lounge with those home made biscuits. Breakfast was a feast with home made jams from the garden. The house, a converted barn, and garden were charming, and very pretty and both kept to a very high standard. When we booked we asked about eating that evening and were recommended 'Yorkshires most Italian Restaurant' Orlandos, 5 minutes away. This turned out to be a very busy and popular Italian restaurant full of staff who were all characters including Orlando himself. He and some of the waiters are also magicians and came and did tricks at the table to the delight of our children. If we were ever near Huddesfield again I would stay here, great all round.

More like a boutique hotel than a B&B, best in W Yorks and I've tried a lot. Breakfast second to none. Well done.

This is now the third time I have stayed at Thornes Farm. The accomodation is excellent and very relaxing. Janet, the owner, is attentive and welcomes you in to her house and cooks a mean breakfast. I travel all over the UK weekly and use different types of accommodation, Thornes Farm gets the thumbs up from me. I have just booked my next 3 visits for when I am in the area.
